WENDY ERICKSON
MISSION
"To inspire and empower individuals of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to discover the joy of dance by providing accessible and inclusive opportunities for participation, fostering a vibrant and connected community through movement, expression, and shared experiences."
.
Artistic Philosophy
I have spent many years exploring how my body can move in many contexts including improvised and choreographed performance. I have found that moving the body can change the self and others. My current dance practice is now about developing meaningful physical movement in others (participants). Working inclusively allows me to witness and harness the subtleties, the grey areas, and new movement expressions of what it is to be human, enriching a new dance trajectory. Moving forward I aim to embed change through dance to meet the needs of individuals and communities.
Testimonials
“As a wife, mother, therapist in my 60’s now and having danced most of my life in professional musical theatre it’s been a breath of fresh air to attend Wendy’s classes. I can just enjoy my body the joy of dancing with like hearted women which all comes together as Wendy invites us to find our unique inner dancer without judgement. She is in my mind the ultimate dance whisperer!”

“One of the most enjoyable aspects of working with Wendy is watching how she creates a dance story. Things appear to be random, but Wendy has discerned a pattern, a flow, a feeling, a moment and gently offers a journey to possible resolution or not. It’s always revealing”
— Jude.R
“I felt like my whole life had fallen apart…I wanted to give myself the challenge to go from a broken leg to performing on stage”
